My story
It was summer. My back left leg was bad and I couldn't put any weight on it. My skin was stuck to my bones and my fur was mangy. I was starving and looking for someone to love me. I walked into a detail shop where a teenage girl was sitting there with a bag a chips and she offered me one. I couldn't resist. She fed me and was loving on me. I was one happy kitty, let me tell ya! She picked me up and asked the neighbors if I belonged to any of them. One shared with her about how they saw a car pull up, throw me out, and drove off. Knowing her parents wouldn't let her keep me she found a friend who was willing to foster me, to help me heal from my injuries, and to take care of me till I could find my forever home. She gave me my very own name, Shiloh. This home already had a couple of kitties and a doggie, I just assume to watch them from a distance. They had this ball on a string that is supper fun to play with and they even let me have a box that I would lay in and watch the world go by out the window. That big bright ball outside sure does give off alot of heat and I so enjoy laying in it's light. I also love it when my foster mommy opens the window. I sit there and take in the smells, sights, and sounds of everything.Everytime my foster mommy moved her hand in a fast movement near me, bad memories would come back and I would duck and flinch. But, with her love and always being so kind to me, any movements that she makes now doesn't bother me anymore. Matter of fact, she lets me lay next to her in bed at night and she'll rub my back as I lay my head on her arm and we just sleep so peacefully together. One day, I was taken to a place that had all these weird smells. I wasn't quit sure of what was going on, but I knew that the people there had my best interest at heart. I remember feeling a prick and I fell asleep very quickly after that. When I woke up though, my bad leg was gone. That was so totally weird! Now, with the help of my foster mom, I've learned to get around. Sometimes I'll go to scratch the side of my face, and forget I don't have that paw anymore and my foster mom sees my struggle and she will scratch my chin for me. Oh, that's so nice. I'll even rub my chin on the corner of a door to get that right spot. At first, they built a stair case out of boxes for me so I could get to that sand filled box, but I don't need it anymore. I jump up and down just fine on my own.My foster mom has made sure that my shots are up to date and I've been fixed. I really enjoy living here with my foster mom, but I know there's someone out there who can love me just as much or more as she does and let me love on them too.
