Job Description
NES is searching for a Audio Visual Design Engineer to work as a member of a survey and engineering team to develop initial and long term strategy related to audio-visual services and products, evaluate the health of customer systems based on mission, and identify short falls and discrepancies. Candidate will integrate within an established team and structured organization to provide consistent, high quality, secure, and technically advanced solutions to US Government customers.
Candidate will perform site surveys to develop initial requirements and recommend solutions. Candidate will work closely with Facilities, ISP, and Network engineers to develop System Requirements Documents and Engineering and Implementation Plans to cover all technology areas throughout a building, including multiple interconnected AV systems. Candidate will develop detailed systems and facilities drawings, cable run lists, ILOM/MILOMs with budgetary estimates, power schedules, project schedules, and all documentation required for the EIP. Candidate will produce as-built documentation packages based on red-lined drawings from implementations.
Candidate may be required to oversee implementations either in the lab or in the field, including general installation, device configuration, QA, and system commissioning. Candidate will be required to perform field engineering in a dynamic environment for changes that arise in the field.
Required Skills
* Bachelor s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, military, and/or work experience
* Minimum 3-5 years work experience in Audio Visual industry
* Experience with AutoCAD
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
* Must pass an extensive government background check
* Must pass a drug screening test
* Must have a Secret Clearance
* Position requires 25-75% travel
* Demonstrate time management with attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
* Communicate and interact with coworkers, customers, and vendors in a professional and timely manner.

**Desired Skills:
* CTS (CTS-D preferred)
* Additional industry certifications (Extron, AMX, Crestron, Biamp, Cisco, etc)
* Ability to troubleshoot complex systems
* Proven Technical Writing Skills
